Have you ever wondered why we're named the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership?. As Hawaiʻi’s only women's business center, we're dedicated to supporting women in starting and growing small businesses, aiming to "level the playing field" for women entrepreneurs and leaders who still encounter unique challenges in the business world.

Our center is named after the remarkable Patsy T. Mink, a trailblazer known for her tireless advocacy and legislative reforms benefiting women. She was a transformative leader and a national voice for gender equality, education, peace, and so much more.
