Program Details

The Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance was launched in 2016 to increase the representation of women executives in Hawaii. Today we celebrate an alumni base of 150 Mink Leaders representing diverse industries including Finance, Health, Energy, Education, Insurance, Construction, Legal, State and Government Agencies as well as Entrepreneurs and Non-Profits.

The Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance is a 10-month program designed for professional women leaders and entrepreneurs who are committed to personal growth, professional impact, and community leadership. This program further develops management and leadership skills in an effort to increase the representation of women executives in Hawai‘i. Through facilitated sessions, the cohort will have the opportunity to engage directly with established business professionals and build alliances with fellow Mink Leaders.

Who is right for the program:

The Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance is looking for a diverse group of female professionals representing a variety of industries from non-profit, corporate, government sectors and entrepreneurs.

  • Do you have a desire to strengthen and grow your strategic thinking capacity?

  • Do you want to build your social capital and strengthen your personal & professional relationships?

  • Do you want to enhance your influence and negotiation skills?

Time Commitment:

This is a 10-month program culminating in a Graduation Ceremony. Over the 10 months, attendance is required at 18 of the 20 sessions in order to graduate with a certificate.

Expectations:

This program is designed to advance management and leadership skills. The cohort will have the opportunity to engage directly with established business professionals and build alliances with fellow Mink Leaders.

Course of Study:

Graduates of the Patsy T. Mink leadership Alliance will enhance their business leadership skills with topics ranging from Change Leadership, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion, Community & Civic Impact, and Financial Business Acumen. Additionally, the cohort will have reserved seating at four Mink Wahine events, and special seating and coaching at the Wahine Forum Conference.

The Pasty T. Mink Leadership Alliance is open to all qualified applicants. We seek to have a diverse group of women from a variety of fields and industries and will select only one applicant per company, per cohort.
